Artisan ice cream products made in the traditional Italian way, Isabella’s Gelateria is the dream of Brian and Sandy Bowles.
While living in the UK, Brian and Sandy would occasionally adventure off ‘mud island’ to soak up some European culture. During their travels in Italy they fell in love with gelato and decided to make it their mission to learn the art of gelato making and to bring the true gelato experience to South Africa.
Never one to shy away from experimentation in the kitchen, Sandy soon introduced sorbet to the menu. Flavours are inspired by what is in season and the exotic sorbets come with an alcoholic twist!

Smoother and richer in flavour than regular ice cream, Gelato is Italian style artisan ice cream. Our sorbet is made from fresh fruit and the flavours are inspired by what is in season.
Serve Isabella’s Gelato, Italian Kisses and / or Exotic Sorbets at your event! You provide the location, we bring everything else.
We set up right outside after the ceremony or after dinner at the reception for dessert. We work directly with your wedding planner or venue to ensure timing is precise and location is just right.
